Francis Flower team complete Cumbrian Challenge

The Limestone Trailers have completed their gruelling 20K cumbrian challenge to raise money for injured servicemen and women.

A Francis Flower team named  ‘The Limestone Trailers’, led by mountain goat Carrie-Ann Snelson, along with Mick Stovin, Mark Tripney and Graham Goodall, entered The Cumbrian Challenge  on Saturday 16 May 2015 . The challenge was in aid of our inspirational wounded servicemen and women, and took place on a breath-taking tough 20km route through the stunning peaks of the Lake District near Grasmere.

The charity, Walking with the Wounded, supports wounded veterans back into employment and the object of each team was to raise a minimum of £2000, which supports one veteran back into work.

Thanks to our generous customers, suppliers, colleagues and friends, the Francis Flower team has met this target and we are delighted to be able to support our servicemen and women.

Francis Flower were invited to participate by, and alongside teams from, Bunn Fertilisers Ltd, who are a major customer of our granulated fertiliser products.

It was an inspirational event for all taking part and the aching joints and limbs were well worth it.
