Sustainability

At Francis Flower we recover, reclaim and recycle mineral by-products from industry for the benefit of our customers and the environment.

Uniquely, the thread between our products is that they originate as by-products from industrial processes. This reduces the need for mineral extraction and landfill, helping to deliver sustainable environmental solutions for the future.

For example, no virgin marble is ever quarried to help produce our Fordacal range of fillers and extenders. The range has been certified as meeting ISO14021, meaning that each product is made using 100% recycled material.

We supply water companies and other bodies with specially prepared limestone powder to neutralise acid lakes, waterways and reservoirs to help restore the eco-system.

We are proud to be a Silver member of the Supply Chain Sustainability School, an initiative which represents a common approach to addressing sustainability within our supply chains.

Our storage and logistic facilities use state-of-the-art software systems to enable us to monitor and replenish stock levels in the most efficient way possible, saving fuel and reducing the impact on the environment.
